Farm Bureau Updates

Summer Updates

Talbot County Young Farmers is having a meeting on May 19th, 7 PM at the Talbot AG Center. Any members or potential members ages 18-35 are encouraged to attend. Please reach out to Kara Hutchison by clicking here. Subsequent meetings for the rest of the year are:

  • July:  Help with Talbot County Fair (July 11th-13th)
  • August 18th, 7PM at the AG Center
  • September 15th, 7PM at the AG Center
  • October: Help with Harvest Festival
  • November 17th, 7 PM at the AG Center
  • December: Attend MDFB Convention if able & enjoy the holidays.

It’s a priority at Talbot County Farm Bureau to give our next generation the tools they need to succeed, while improving the embarrassing level of food awareness in our communities.

Talbot County Farm Bureau Scholarship!

Talbot County Farm Bureau applications for their 2024-2025 Scholarship are now closed. Scholarships will be awarded at our Annual Summer Picnic on Sunday, August 4th.

Talbot County Farm Bureau Ambassador

Our 2023-2024 Talbot County Farm Bureau Ambassador is Abbi Hutchison. Abbi was born and raised in Talbot County. Her agriculture experience ranges from growing up on her dad’s grain farm, spending time milking cows with her Nana and uncles on her great-grandfathers dairy farm and showing market hogs and dairy heifers in the Talbot County Fair.

Soon we will be looking for our 2024-2025 Talbot County Farm Bureau Ambassador. Check back here for the application this spring!
