On February 2nd, 2025, the Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) has detected a case of HPAI on a Worcester County broiler farm, making this the sixth case in Maryland and ninth case on the Delmarva peninsula since the beginning of the year. Please continue to follow proper biosecurity to keep your farm measures on your operation.
On January 30th, 2025, the first case of HPAI on the Western Shore of Maryland has been identified at a backyard flock in Montgomery County. All Maryland poultry farmers are encouraged to enhance biosecurity measures on their operations.
