☀️ This summer, you’ve got no excuse not to support your local farmer!

It’s peak growing season in Maryland, and that means our local farms are overflowing with fresh produce. As you drive around the state, chances are you’ll pass a roadside farm stand, like Hopkins Produce in Havre de Grace.

Every morning, Mitch Hopkins is up early picking sweet corn and other vegetables from his fields. The harvest doesn’t travel far, just up the driveway, before it’s ready for neighbors and passersby to enjoy. What may look like a simple pole barn on the roadside is actually a vital part of this family’s diversified farm operation.

Farming in the heat of summer is no easy task. But after a long day in the fields, you can join Mitch by cooling off with a cold beer, brewed locally at Hopkins Farm Brewery.

So this summer, stop by, say hello, and support the folks who grow your food.

As Mitch puts it: “If you can meet the person that grew your food, it’s a pretty cool experience.” #MemberSpotlight
