2018 Advanced Good Agricultural Practices Training:
The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) and University of Maryland Extension (UME) currently hold one Advanced GAP course annually at the Maryland Department of Agriculture in Annapolis, MD. This course is designed for people who have already attended a Basic GAP course or need to maintain a food safety certification.
This one-day workshop is helpful for growers who wish to learn more about implementing food safety practices. This year’s agenda, not yet finalized, will include information about agricultural water systems, FSMA, sanitary design, risk assessments, and an update on Harmonized GAP audits.
